WAX – Action Sports Movie hub

So WAX media just picked up POLYESTER and HAPPY BEACH for distribution! Wax is a core owned online media outlet for all things action sports, inparticular, surf. I was surprised to hear back from them after I had sent them out copies of my new films. They apparently dug em and we signed a distribution deal! It will now be possible for more people than ever to get there eyes or hands on a copy of the films. Super stoked that it went down. Ended up hanging with Cyrus Sutton Mr. Korduroy TV! They let me sit in on what happened to be a really important meeting for both companies, I was a fly on the wall as the business jargen was being tossed around. They would ask my opinion for a few questions, i nodded my head and said, “yes, that sounds rad!” Just happy people can get a hold of the films now. It will be fully functioning site within the months end.

WAX is similar to a NEtflix subscription. You pay $8 a month and have access to the largest surf, skate, snow video library around. Hope it goes well and everyone collects stoke from the site. Just got the HAPPY BEACH dvd’s printed! They will be available next week at Thalia, The Frog House, and Mollusk surf shops. Gonna have a dvd release party next week at Thalia stay tuned.

Vans recording sessions

Last week I was lucky to run into the Vans team of Nolan Hall Reagan Ritchie, Dylan Graves, Tanner & Dane Gudauskas, Wade Goodall, & Droid. They were jamming and recording some new songs for the Gettn Classic Vol.2 film. Once I entered the distillery studio I mentioned to the boys that I had thought up a new song called “Soft Top Revolution”, within 5 minutes of this suggestion all of the team was belting out the song! It was pretty Classic. Metal Jimmy then took the microphone and all hell broke loose. The mood in the room was a typical Nolan Hall production, really fun and super loose. Droid & Dylan were going off on guitar, Dane & Nolan were switching back and forth on the drums, Tanner was on bass, and Wade was just drinking beers hanging.

The “Soft top Revolution” will soon be released as a film short, and will be starring Metal Jimmy and Droid, with guest appearences by Tan-man, Dylan, Wade, and Dane. Pretty Classic song to go to some sweet soft top action!

The next day while driving on the freeway on my way back from lowers, I was in the fast lane and heard someone yell my name, it was Dylan Graves & Dane Gudauskas! We then preceeded to bang our heads to the song “soft top revolution” going a cool 75 miles per hour on our way back into Newport. I then got Dane to sign my 1st edition BEACH DAYS magazine, which he appeared on the back cover of, Stoked!

Kyle, Kurt, Skip, Bradlee, & Christian shot last week at Balboa Pier with 4×5. WOR spring/summer stuff! It was fun we invaded the beach and everyone had a good time, it was really surprising that nobody was annoyed by us. We just rolled the rack down there shot 12 pictures and scoped out the family scenes, classic.

Was my first surf film short, it was shot in Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

It stars a tree, casey kalinyak, and a monkey. It was shot over a 2 trip period. That is approximately a month in the jungle supreme. Pura Vida. music: Growlers
