Some old polaroid600 film – photo of “The Growlers” frontman Brooks Nielsen trying on his outfit before the House of Blues show. The whole band wore different suits that Brooks & Melisa picked up from the thrift store, some of them womens suits. The vibe was really sleezy, another legendary performance later by Brooksy and a great polaroid!

Idol Radec
Just shot the new campaign for the upcoming trade shows yesterday at Crystal Cove StateBeach, Ca. Got chased out by state park rangers but got what we needed, always an adventure when shooting guerilla! Shot some 8mm film for a movie, & 35mm stills for the lookbook. Also, got a chance to shoot a roll of film that expired in 1991, Here is a shot from that film stock.

underwater with couch
About 200 yards from the watering hole we spotted this white moldy Victorian style love seat. It was put into the back alley near trashcans in the hopes that someone would dispose of it. So not being one to pass up the opportunity to throw a couch into water, i put it on the top of my vehicle and brought it to the location. It was about 7:30 pm so it was almost dark which made for the unexpected exposure reliability. My underwater housing was stuck on 1 exposure 125/F8 ISO400 so i ran with it and hoped for the best. Nicole is a great surfer and quite a trooper, so she can endure the coldness of the air and water. WE did get a chance to jump into a somewhat warm jacuzzi right after so it wasn’t to bad. Also, the couch weighed about 80-100 pounds after being in the water for about 30 minutes.

The BLaCk Lips
Was fortunate enough to have The Black lips play 2 songs with nobody there but us before a show they had a show in Costa Mesa, Ca. So i Cut together a short vid of the band from footage i had taken from that sound check. Afterwards, Ian St. Pe’and I hit the streets destroying my favorite tricycle, and slightly damaging a video game in the laundrymat. It is for Vestal’s 2010 campaign starring the hilarious – Ian Saint Pe’.
