Well today was my first meeting with Kai at his Costa Mesa factory. Things were running really smooth and the place looked sweet! I gave my 2 films to all who sat behind a computer at the office, which was pretty busy by small office standards. The first time I met Kai he was asleep in our Hotel room closet after a long night of drinking in San Francisco, apparently it was his birthday that night. So it was nice to see him in all of his glory, sitting behind a desk crackin the whip and really getting shit done. We cruised to the back werehouse, i skated a bit and took off my shoes, then we talked about film, his next movie, and projects that are upcoming, then we sealed the deal.
So its official now, Im doing some stuff with Mr. Nevelle and already shot 2 webisodes for WHAT YOUTH http://www.whatyouth.com/ ! Im stoked to work with someone i really respect, and to do some fun projects in the coming months and years. My first project was with Mitch Coleborn as he prepared to go to Brazil for a contest by doing tow-ats and eating tacos in Mexico. ALso shot, the “lay days” in between going home for Chippa Wilson as we hang in Newport and surf a novelty spot somewhere in Laguna. They will be out in approx. 2 weeks from now so excited to get more stuff on the web for surf junkie consumption.
